SI International Centre at UMKC

Over the years UMKC offered a number of workshops throughout the United States and the rest of the world. In addition to the staff at UMKC there are currently 18 persons from around the world who have been trained and certified to run SI Supervisor Workshops in their regions, thereby empoweringstafffromother institutionsto implement SIat their respective institutions.To date faculty and staff from over 800 institutions have received training to implement their own SI programmes. SI is active in over 200 institutions Internationally; SI is active in more than 27 countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Marshall Islands, Malaysia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom and the West Indies.


Nelson Mandela University SI National Office

Nelson Mandela University is the National SI Office and is, as such, responsible for the training of SI Supervisors and academic staff from institutions around South Africa. It is also responsible for maintaining a flagship programme at Nelson Mandela University. Currently delegates from more than 80 Higher Education and Training institutions have been trained as SI supervisors by the Nelson Mandela University SI National Office (pre and post mergers). The National Office comprises of Ms Liesl Smith (Head) who is the accredited SI trainer. To date many South African institutions have implemented SI programmes, including universities, universities of technology,FET colleges, military and business academies.
